Our Story

Langan’s: A New York City Icon Reborn

First established in 1992 by John Mahon and Desmond O’Brien, Langan’s revolutionized the New York City dining scene by introducing an elevated Irish fine-dining experience. As a white-tablecloth restaurant with a welcoming ambiance, Langan’s quickly became the go-to destination for after-work drinks, theatergoers, and the millions of tourists visiting NYC each year.

Beyond its culinary excellence, Langan’s gained a reputation as a hotspot for the famous and influential, hosting luminaries such as Meryl Streep, sports legend Muhammad Ali, renowned journalist Steve Dunleavy, and TV personality Sean Hannity, among others.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Today, Langan’s has triumphantly reclaimed its place at the heart of New York City, steps away from Rockefeller Center and Times Square. The reimagined space strikes the perfect balance between classic and contemporary, thoughtfully designed with touches that pay homage to its storied past.

The new Langan’s is more than a restaurant; it is a vibrant gathering place. Whether for corporate happy hours, social celebrations, or pre-theater cocktails, it has quickly become a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike.
